OpinionHook publishes original articles on travel, lifestyle, and fashion.
We are looking for contributors who write from genuine personal experience —
not generalists who research topics on Google and repackage what they find.
If you have spent time in the destinations you write about, built a real relationship
with fashion or style, or developed expertise in a lifestyle area through lived
experience, we would like to read your work.
What we are looking for
We publish three types of contributor articles:
• First-hand travel writing — real itineraries, honest destination reviews,
practical advice from someone who has actually been there. We are especially
interested in underrated destinations, budget travel done properly, and
long-term travel perspectives.
• Lifestyle and everyday living — personal essays and practical guides on
topics like slow living, home organisation, sustainable habits, and
building routines that last.
• Fashion and personal style — pieces grounded in real wardrobe decisions,
not trend roundups copied from fashion week coverage.
Before you submit
Please read these requirements carefully. Submissions that do not meet them
are declined without detailed feedback.
• Minimum 1,000 words. Ideal length is 1,200–2,000 words.
• Written from first-hand experience. We ask: have you personally done
what you are describing? If the answer is no, this is not the right
submission for us.
• Original to OpinionHook. Not published on your blog, Medium, LinkedIn,
or anywhere else.
• No AI-generated content submitted without substantial original rewriting.
We check every submission.
• No promotional content. Articles should serve the reader, not market
a product or service.
How to submit
Email your full article as a Google Doc or Word document to:

Use the subject line: Contributor Submission — [Your Article Title]
Include in your email:
• Your full name
• A 2–3 sentence bio: who you are and why you are qualified to write this piece
• One link — to your personal site, LinkedIn, or social profile
• Your article as an attachment
We read every submission. You will hear back within 5–7 business days.
What happens after you submit
Our editorial team reads your article in full and checks for:
originality, genuine first-hand perspective, factual accuracy, and
reader value. If it passes, we schedule it for publication and notify you
by email with your live URL. If it needs work, we tell you specifically
what to improve — we do not send vague rejections.
Published articles appear with your full author profile: name, photo, bio,
and a link to your chosen website or profile. Your work is permanently
credited to you on OpinionHook.

Q: Do you pay contributors?
A: OpinionHook is currently a free contributor publication. You receive a published byline and a permanent author profile.
Q: Can I include links in the article body?
A: You may include 1–2 contextual links that genuinely serve the reader. Promotional links are removed during editing.
Q: Can I republish the article on my own site after it goes live?
A: No. Once published on OpinionHook, the article should remain exclusive. You may share the link and quote short excerpts.
Q: Do you accept pitches before a full article is written?
