What We Do NOT Publish
To protect the quality of our platform and our readers, we do not accept:

- ❌ Duplicate or plagiarised content — we run every submission through plagiarism checks
- ❌ AI-generated articles submitted without any human editing or original perspective
- ❌ Content containing medical, legal, or financial advice without proper credentials and disclaimers
- ❌ Misleading headlines, clickbait, or unsubstantiated claims
- ❌ Content that has been published elsewhere — all submissions must be 100% original to OpinionHook
- ❌ Thin articles under 800 words with no real insight or depth
Submission Requirements
Before you submit, make sure your article meets these standards:
Length: Minimum 1,000 words. Ideal range is 1,200 to 2,000 words. Long-form guides and how-to articles of 2,500+ words are always welcome.
Originality: Your article must be completely original and not published anywhere else online — including your own blog or Medium account. We check every submission.
Structure: Use clear headings (H2 and H3), short paragraphs, and a logical flow. Write for a general audience — avoid unnecessary jargon.
Tone: Conversational but informed. Write like you are explaining something to a smart friend, not writing an academic paper. First-person perspective is welcome and encouraged.
Sources: Back up any statistics or facts with a source link. Unverified claims will be removed or flagged during editing.
Images: You are welcome to suggest images, but we handle all featured images. If you include images in your draft, make sure you own them or they are licensed for free use (Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay).
Bio: Include a 2–3 sentence author bio with your name, area of expertise, and the URL you would like linked. This appears at the bottom of your published article.
Our Editorial Process
Here is exactly what happens after you submit:
Step 1 — Initial Review (1–3 business days) We review your submission for topic fit, originality, and basic quality. If it is clearly not a fit, we will let you know promptly.
Step 2 — Editorial Review (3–5 business days) If your piece passes initial review, our editorial team reads it fully and checks for accuracy, structure, tone, and plagiarism.
Step 3 — Feedback or Approval We either approve your article for publication, or send you specific revision notes. We do not send vague rejections — if we ask for changes, we explain exactly what they are.
Step 4 — Publication Once approved, we schedule and publish your article. You will receive the live URL by email. Your author bio and backlink go live at the same time.
Step 5 — Promotion We share new articles across our social channels and newsletter. Your article gets promoted — not just published.

- You own or have rights to any images included in your submission
- You will not republish the article on any other website after it appears on OpinionHook
- You understand that our editorial team may make minor edits for grammar, clarity, and formatting

Include your topic idea, a 3–5 sentence summary of your angle, and a link to one previous writing sample.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you pay contributors? OpinionHook is currently a free contributor platform. In return for your article, you receive a published byline, author bio, and an editorial backlink to your website. Paid contributor opportunities may be available in the future.
Can I include links in my article? You may include 1–2 relevant contextual links within your article body, provided they add genuine value for the reader and are not promotional. Your author bio includes one dedicated link to your website.
Can I republish my article after it goes live? No. Once published on OpinionHook, the article should not be republished elsewhere. You may share the OpinionHook link freely, quote short excerpts, or summarise the article on your own channels — but the full text must remain exclusive to OpinionHook.
What happens if my article is rejected? We will let you know by email. If the article has potential but needs work, we will explain what to improve. You are welcome to revise and resubmit.
How long does publication take? From submission to publication, the typical turnaround is 5–10 business days depending on our editorial queue.
Can I contribute multiple articles? Absolutely. Regular contributors are welcome. There is no limit on how many articles you can submit — as long as each one meets our quality standards.
Do you accept articles in languages other than English? Currently we only publish in English.
